You need to sit with your grief, unpack that conversation, or redraw your boundaries, and you need space, time, and practices to help you do it.
A nearby nature retreat: If you are near New Orleans, The Lodge at Sweetwater is just a two-hour drive from the city. Glamp amongst nature and enjoy the water, trees, creatures and peace she provides.
Like-minded peeps: Everyone here is signing up to spend the weekend immersed in nature and the teachings of yoga. Everyone is committed to protecting the peace of the property, and the other participants, as well as their own.
Time in silence: each evening after dinner, you are invited to observe silence until the end of yoga class the following morning.
Nourishing food: healthy meals prepared for you on site.
Life-affirming practices: Morning and late afternoon yoga classes, optional afternoon meditation sessions, and evening storytelling around the fire will feed you, body, mind, and spirit.
Your glamping accommodations include a bed with a comfortable mattress and soft, cozy bedding, an electric blanket and portable heater to bring warmth on a cold night, lamplight, and a coffee pot for wake-up support. Each tent has an enclosed shower and toilet area attached. No hiking to the communal toilet in the middle of the night!
Tents can accommodate one or two people. If you feel resistance to sharing a tent, please consider:
Shared space means more people can come on retreat. It's an act of generosity (a yogic value).
We will be observing silence from the end of dinner to the end of morning yoga. No pressure to make small talk!
There are many places on the property to seek solitude.
Yoga people are kind, compassionate, and warm.
You can have your own experience while sharing space.
You've been putting your people, your job, and your responsibilities first. It's been a bit of a grind. You're getting depleted. You can keep going, but what if you took a break? What could three days surrounded by nature reflect back to you about your own nature?
Layer in curated yoga practices that invigorate you in the morning and sedate you in the afternoon, and delicious food prepared by someone else and served to you. I'll even tell you a bedtime story so rich with yogic wisdom that you'll still draw from years from now.
Return to your people, job, and responsibilities and serve them from an overflowing cup instead of a glass half full.
